JAVA_HOME is not defined

Hi there. I am trying to install Subsonic, but get the following error:

"Failed to install the pacakge. JAVA_HOME is not defined. Download and install the Java Synology package from http://wp.me/pVshC-z5"

Of course that link takes you to a description that links you to a dead link. However, I have installed Java 1.7 from another source, and it seems to be running just fine. Does anyone know how to solve this? I have a Synology DS111 with a Marvell Kirkwood mv6282 processor.
