And I cannot connect to Subsonic. Any ideas? I did a search but only a few previously resolved cases came up and they didn't work. I've been having port issues lately as well, so maybe that's the issue, but I thought I resolved this. >:/

The Subsonic Control Panel is giving me "Address already in use. Please change port number." (http://localhost:4040), so I'd like to finally get this resolved.

I've re-installed 4.7 which fixed the issue last time, but it's not working this time.

I have a static IP working just fine, so I can't figure out what else would be scamming that port.

check that you haven't got more then 1 instance of SS running.
Services.msc should list only 1 subsonic service running (task manager may show 2 - and I don't know why either )

Only one running mr. dog. I even stopped and restarted it, same error page.

If its not SS that is using that port then it must be something else?
You either try to find what process is using it or change the port no via the control panel to something else.
Netstat may give you clue to what is using it

Fixed! Sure enough netstat -ab gave me a clue. Turns out nothing but Subsonic was using 4040, but Skype was using the https port 443, which I never considered changing. I changed both to cover all my bases and after a restart of the SS control panel it was back up and running.

Thanks mr. dog! I'll check netstat -ab next time for any port conflicts.
