Adding Lock screen to Android App

Hi All,

Just wanted to see the best way to add a lock screen to the android app. It seems like there's a few different forks of the android app out there, and I'd like to code in a lock screen for the android app that works with versions of android earlier than ICS. Any way I can get started? I've found the current fork:

Which is the best one to get started on making a lock screen for?
