need help on getting this server online

i cant get this program online so that my friends can login what am i doing wrong
i did everything that is in the tut bud i still cant get it online
i made a port forwarding (Linksys wrt54g) name is subsonic port begin 80 ending on 80 i gave a sign to my firewall to let it go pass
i see that some people install tomcat do i have to do that to????

I just completed modifying my Linksys router today and getting web access running.

Within the router config I routed all http traffic to the ip address of the PC with the music on it. No port specific mods were required and it worked.

Does your firmware allow you to direct to a specific IP by traffic type. Thats the ticket.

Also click on the General forum tab and look at "Web Access to Subsonic Server from Home" wuestion from me (jmlove) earlier today.
