One quick question if your still with us lol

Im getting an error in the browser when i try to add my harddrive.
Do you know what that could be?

Edit:
No error after a reboot but when i point to the drive and select scan, normally i get a thing in the right hand side saying scanning but this time i have nothing.

It does on mine, but we may not be using the same theme and that could just be an anomaly.

Set up a music directory on the host hard drive and just put a couple folders in it to see if it works with that.

Are you using the local drive letter for the usb drive instead of the share name? If the drive shows as a local drive as it should, the your entry in Settings/Music Folders should be X:\Music or something similar.

It syncs the files in c:/music but doesnt like anything else

Edit.
I took your advice and plugged in the drive to the pc instead of the router

Does the drive show up in windows explorer as a local drive, can you access and read the files in explorer?

Got me baffled.

Did you edit the subsonic service permissions? For this setup you should just use the local account, not a logon account like what was needed before.

Did I mention that I hate usb drives? Does this drive use NTFS?

That's probably it, just use the local account like in the default setup.

Read the procedure for editing the Subsonic service in the Monroe World Tutorial again, Follow the instructions, but reverse the edit and set the service back to using a local account logon like it was before you edited the account you put in to access the network share.

I think you actually did this not too long ago, Just reverse the process. If that's not it I have no idea what is going on.
