Étienne de Crécy is not listed under 'E', but dumped at the end of the listing under '#', which is not the right way to list a name stating with E-accent aigu.

You can change which letters get grouped into which index in the settings, though.

That is true, but then É is listed as a separate letter. I want it to be listed under 'E'.....

You can do that, too. Don't remember the syntax but something like E (EÉÈ) to group all of them into E.

Interesting! By doing that: E (ÉÈ) there is a white line between the normal E's and É, meaning that entries with É are not listed alphabetical, but at the end of the E-listing.

Maybe there's a way to also solve that issue...
Thanks for your help!

I believe that the best way to fix this would be modding the sort algorithm, using this: http://docs.oracle.com/javase/1.5.0/doc ... lator.html

I do not think modding Subsonic & trying to understand Java - except for some very easy adaptations - is a priority in my life right now. So I'll acccept some little imperfections for now :-)

Since you seem to know more than the average forum member: can you tell me where I can find a listing of users & their email addresses? I stumbled upon that list, somewhere in a file, but cannot reproduce that moment of clarity.

I would just go to db.view (instead of index.view etc), type select username, email from user in the text box and press the OK button.

It feels a little clumsy to ask: where or how can I find/use db.view?

GOT IT: http://localhost:9988/subsonic/db.view

Works great! Thanks for your help!
