HELP! upgraded now left frame doesnt work right.

I first tried to upgrade to 4.7 from the beta... then did a fresh install and just moved the script file over so all my users were in there. well anyway i did a fresh scan of my media folder and it found all of my music, if i search for any music subsonic finds it... but the left frame wont load all the way... it loads like a few thousand entries then stops... My collection cuts off at the "B's" if i change the index to start at "C" it shows a few thousand and stop at the "D's".. the issue seems to be that the left frame wont load more than a few thousand artists now??? please login to my guest account and let me know what you think is going on... THIS INFO REMOVED this is a personal collection i do not give access to anyone, just in case anyone was curious.

Interesting. I've seen the left screen throw a java error, but I've never seen the unable to connect msg.

EDIT: Just logged on with Chrome and it looks OK! The B's are loaded, but it's still workin on the rest I guess.

the ending at the B's is the problem... dont know why you got the unable to connect either.. the left pane just stops after it loads a few thousand artists... weird..

I can't view log entries, but I'd suggest sending a PM to Hakko. This looks like something he might be able to help with if you give him the logs.

My standard solution to odd HTML behavior is to delete C:\Subsonic\Jetty.

Otherwise, paste subsonic.log somewhere on the net for feedback.

it had this issue with an upgrade... i uninstalled and deleted c/subsonic and re installed with same issue.. what log would you like? c/subsonic/subsonic.log is only 150k and below... c/subsonic/db/subsonic.log is 195 meg and i will have to put that on my webserver.. This is just the bottom half of the log... it starts scanning at the beginning.. again if you login to my subsonic server and search for an artist like "zz top" all my music is in the database.. it just seems like jetty wont serve a webpage (left.view) that is that long?

All I can say is that there's no such upper limit that I'm aware of for Jetty. Your left.view is about 257k, mine is twice that size and displayed as a whole. It looks like yours just gets cut off in the middle of transmission.

I ran into some anomalies from time to time with almost every Subsonic version. You seem to have a very large library so maybe you're hitting some limits that will require upping the Java memory limit - but I'm not sure how to do that in this version.

Sometime a clean reinstall does the trick, but that can be irritating if you have a lot of users or statistics you want to keep.

The HTTP response header (see below) suggests that there is an IIS proxy or something in front of the Subsonic server.

My guess would be that this is what's causing the html in left.view to be chopped off.

crap, i never had an issue with the proxy before... let me try to access subsonic directly from that server, I hope its that easy.... $hit...... well sorry to consume everyone's time... it indeed is getting chopped in my iis proxy... weird that it started in the new version... ill have to figure that out....

You're the second person that I see running into issues with the proxy server setup today. We see this far too often where a user swears up and down there's something wrong and we try everything to figure it out and then 3 days later they reveal they are behind a double reverse proxy server with a full gainer and a half-twist.

There oughta be a law that anyone using a proxy server MUST declare that up front - LOL

That's gonna be my first question from now on.
