Playlist generated on android not visible in browser

Hopefully the title says it all. I generated a playlist on my phone, and I wanted to share it with someone. Since I (as far as I can see) can't do this from the android app, I logged in normally, but I can't find the playlist among the other playlists. I have made playlists using the android app before, and they're all listed, but this one isn't. It's still listed on my phone, even after restarting, and as far as I can see, the app contacts the server when asked to display the tracks in the playlist.

It might be worth knowing that I made some changes to the list and saved the changes, and now the playlist is listed twice with the same name.

I can't find the playlist files on my computer, nor on my phone, yet they clearly are somewhere.

I have only noticed this in the current version of the app (I believe it updated yesterday), but I haven't made a playlist in a while, so it might not be related. Oh, and I'm logged in to the app as an admin, so there should be no problems there. The server is running 4.7.

I can't find the playlist files on my computer, nor on my phone, yet they clearly are somewhere.

They are now stored in the database, not as a file that you can access in the file system. This was to facilitate user ownership of playlists.

Ah, thanks. That at least explains why I can't find it anywhere.

I still wonder why it only shows up on my phone, though.

edit: After reading your post, I figured I should try to log on with the same account that I use on the phone, and voila, there it was. Problem is, I want these playlists to be available across all user accounts. Any idea on how to make it so?

edit2: I found the "Make this playlist visible to other users"-button. Now I only need to find out how to make this the standard setting, or at least how to turn this on from the android app.

Log in as the playlist owner and select it from the playlist list. Then click edit, and select the checkbox to "Make this playlist visible to other users."

Yeah, I found it. Would you happen to know how to do this from the app, or how to set it as standard?

I do not believe that is is possible to do either at the moment.

You could open the db.view window occasionally and run

Update playlist set IS_PUBLIC='true'

To globally set all playlists to public...

Ah, thanks. I think I'll wait for an update to the android app, then. =) I'm hoping for an option to share playlists, albums and tracks from the app as well. Thanks for all help. I hadn't figured out the ownership issue without it. =)
