subsonic android app error

I can connect to a friend's server no problem but when i try to connect to My own server i get time out errors. My phone will connect to my subsonic server through the browser (both through my local network and from outside my network)...its just the android app that doesn't seem to like my server. If there was a problem with the server is have thoughy I wouldnt be able to connect full stop...?

Have you paid for and registered a subsonic license? If not, your server would only allow API (remote app) connections for the first thirty days after you install it.

Hi Glenn. Yes I have, quite a while ago, and have never had issues connecting to my server using xxxxxx.subsonic.org from a web browser (be it on my phone, tablet or a computer).

You never will have issues connecting to the web interface. it is only the RestAPI that needs activation.

Can you verify that subsonic shows that it is registered in the web interface?
