Subsonic For ICS Android 4.0

Any chance I can help out with this? I'd like to make a lock screen for subsonic. I can download this on git hub and have a look to see what I can do.

Just noticed there was an update in the Google Play store for the official Subsonic music streamer android app. It has some improvements for ICS. Here are the release notes:

What's in this version:
o Fix "Host name cannot be null" error on ICS.
o Support Bluetooth play/pause buttons on ICS.
o Improve caching of artist list.
o Ensure readable text in notification when background is dark.
o Fix crash when using fast scrolling.
o Enable fast scrolling of playlists, search results and songs.

Anyone can comment on how different this "official" app is from the various .apks found in this thread? I have the same question about thee Dsub subsonic app and the various .apks found in this thread.

I cannot make an informed decision as to which .apk should I use on my ICS phone.

attached is what i built from ttabbal's source on git last week. it hasnt changed in a while but has the bluetooth fixes and a few other things listed in this thread. https://github.com/travistabbal/Subsonic-Android
if the one on the play store does not have the graphical improvements of this build then I would say use this build. there was word a while back that sindre was going to incorporate the graphical and ui chnages haxsmatic had made into the official app but i havent seen them yet.
I was going to see about changing the default cache size...i hate it when i switch builds and it deletes all my cache :\

this apk is signed with my private key so youll need to uninstall the version you probably have, it will not update yours.

Do either of the above builds (official or otherwise) pause the audio upon bluetooth disconnect (for example, when I would turn my car off)? That'd be amazing.

Thank you !! The pause upon bluetooth disconnect is one of my long-standing desire with the Subsonic app - so your efforts to make this work will definitely be appreciated.

Could you also please see if lockscreen widget could be created? That would be awesome!

I was toying with trying to move the lock screen off the demo music app in the sdk but that's proving quite difficult.the lock screen in the demo that I'm trying to get to work looks similar to the lock screen of power amp

I've given up on the pause on Bluetooth removal thing for now until i understand that part of it more.

I added the star and un-star functionality that was added in 4.7 though, I've just got to polish a few things up before i post it though. I put it in where if you long press a track in the now playing tab.

Has anyone looked at the problems with Google Navigation. To recap when audio is streamed over bluetooth, the music doesn't pause/mute when navigation prompts are spoken making them impossible to hear. This is a real deal breaker with Subsonic. I have to use the stock music apps when I am using Google Navigation. I am not certian whether this happens when audio is not streamed over bluetooth either through phone speaker or headphone socket/dock. Never tested it.

blah, the star will only work if theres something downloading... and unstar only works if whats playing is was starred...i need to do some more reading
