android app cannot connect to the server

I have the Subsonic server running on Debian at home. I donated and have license.

The ports are being forwarded because I can use the web interface from work.
However, the android app cannot connect. When I use "test connection" from settings I get the response "connection OK" but then the main screen hangs and I don't see my music.

Can anyone help?

Just a clarification: I get "A network error occurred" from the main screen.

I have the same issue today. Fine in the network and can't connect to anythingiincluding the demo outside of it.
