I did a search but found nothing, soo is it just me missing a setting that does not allow JW Player to fast forward or rewind? I tried this on phone and computer with out any luck. or is there another prefered player?

You are not providing enough detail. What are you trying to play?

FF REW and the index bar work fine on all my Subsonic/Madsonic/Music Cabinet installations with both music and video.

If you're having issues, it may be due to improper set up, incorrect transcoding, or the media your playing if it was not encoded with the proper indexing information. All that would have to be reviewed to isolate the source of your problem.

If you want, you can send me a PM with a link to download a sample of what your trying to play so it can be tested on a known installation not having the same problem.

I have the same issue. My configuration is out of the box configuration for Ubuntu linux. Is there a fix for this?
