Madsonic Mashup Mod is a fork of the Subsonic 4.7 Server Build 3090 with some Subsonic Data schema modifications!

Madsonic is a full replacement for your current Subsonic server.

Madsonic is designed for people who want more from the vanilla Subsonic features. (See Full List bellow)

I made this just for fun and want to share this new Experience!

WARNING

1.st make a backup of your whole Subsonic folder, to go back if something goes wrong !!!

INSTALL/UPGRADE INFO

You should only need the installation packages, no other installations or workarounds are needed!
Since Beta the Upgrade works much better, the Installer also make a Backup from the DB folder,
but i still recommend a installation from Scratch!

Since Build 3120 Upgrade from Subsonic 4.6, 4.7 supported

WINDOWS

[1] just use the installer to install or upgrade your installation.

TOMCAT

[1] remove old war
[2] delete work folder
[3] redeploy new war file

LINUX

Short Instruction for new/existing Ubuntu/Fedora installation:

[1] Fresh Ubuntu 12.4/Fedora 17 Install
[2] Install Java 1.7 JRE/JDK (sudo apt-get install openjdk-7-jdk)
[3] Config current JRE/JDK to 1.7 with:
[#] sudo update-alternatives --config javac

[1] Start Firefox -> Check Java Version -> browse -> http://javatester.org

Same for me... The flac songs preload, but never play !
I'm on ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS, on a typical install (jetty).
No error is shown in the log.

Sorry for that, if you change to latest war install on linux you must replace also your ffmpeg version.

Flac still doesn't work with your ffmpeg (ffmpeg version 0.8.3-4:0.8.3-0ubuntu0.12.04.1) and lame versions, but mp3 is ok !

About the linux install instructions, I found this for those who have to install java 7 (openjdk version)

Just put "flac" back into the mp3 audio Convert from list and Save.

Any information on how to install/upgrade on a Fedora (*.rpm) Linux build? I'm downloading the "Windows" zip file now and will try to figure it out; hoping it can be just a simple "copy the new files over the old ones" scenario...

Or would a WAR update be easier?

Well, the Windows setup was an exe file, so that was a waste of download time... ugh....
