HTTP ERROR: 503

Postby mchyde » Thu Oct 11, 2012 11:16 pm

Hi,

Things were working fine yesterday. Today, I got the HTTP error. I haven't made any changes to my machine. I tried doing a reinstall, but to no avail.

I'm using the latest version 4.7, on a Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit machine.

Thanks!

503 Usually is the result of corruption in the C:\Subsonic\db files

You might get lucky by trying to stopping the Subsonic service, then detlete C:\Subsonic\db files\subsonic.lck

Restart and see if it comes back.

Sometimes you just have to delete the whole C:\Subsonic directory and start over. It all depends on where the files got corrupted and how good you are at reading log files to see if you can identify the problem and if there's a way to fix it.

When HTTP ERROR: 503 occurs, have a look at the log files in (Program Files)/Subsonic/log/. There's probably some clue there. Paste it here for feedback.
