read nfo files

Postby mea » Fri Aug 31, 2012 11:48 am

Hi,

It would be nice, if an nfo file exists in the album folder, to be able to read it within the subsonic interface...

Thanks !

It is already possible, but it takes a few steps...

1. Add "nfo" to the list of "Audio" extensions on the General settings page.
2. Rescan your library
3. Make sure you have download rights.
4. Click on the download button next to the filename in the web interface and download the file.
5. Open it locally.

That's the best I can suggest...

I do the same for txt files and PDF files. For some reason, txt files display right in the browser without prompting to download, but PDF files don't. Not sure why... I think it has something to do with the application handler settings in the browser I am using (chrome) but I never bothered to look into it.
