How do I enter my donor licence into the new android app?

I would like to remove ads from my android app, but I cannot figure out how to do it using the Licence I received when I became a subsonic donor. Can I only remove the ads by purchasing the app again through the play store?

Also note that after a 30-day trial period you need a license key to use the apps. You get a license key by giving a donation to the Subsonic project. The license never expires and is valid for all current and future apps.

Have these policies changed? Is android Subsonic version 4.7 now considered a 3rd party app?

As I understand it, the license key is/was to allow api access via apps (passed the 30 day trial), and now we have the 'official android app' as both a free ad-supported version, and a premium ad-free version. There are also other apps available, which may be both free AND ad-free. When I bought the new official app today, it was $2.76 US.

If you're that poor or just that cheap to show appreciation for the tidied up app there's always ad blockers: I use Ad Away and she worked fine upon opening the new update for the Subsonic app.
