Subsonic requires java?

Postby dyuhas » Sun Oct 28, 2012 10:55 pm

I've been advised to remove java from my computer due to security concerns. During the uninstall process I was notified that subsonic was using java.

If I uninstall java from my computer will I be able run subsonic?

Subsonic does require Java. You really shouldn't need to remove Java to improve security...

You run a risk if you visit a website with a special crafted applet etc and you allow your browser to run it. To stay safe, stop your browser from running plugins and unknown scripts. Having Java installed doesn't exposure your machine to the recently found exploits.
