FWIW I like this version much better than the latest "official" update in the play store. Thanks for sharing your work with the community here!

Been using this custom app for ages and there are two points I'd like to be set :-)

1. I use the offline feature to listen to songs when I'm not connected (i.e in the subway), but those offline songs aren't scrobbled to last.fm. Even more, they are never scrobbled anymore since those songs doesn't require a connection with the server. So this server doesn't know it has to scrobble them. Maybe we (well, you, the programmers) add the scrobble feature to the Android for the offline songs.

2. Staying in that offline state, when I want to listen to offline songs, it's nowhere to find them unless you choose the offline button in the app first screen. Would it be possible to add the same way the Google Music app works?

Just asking huh ;-)

I finally got some time to fool with code again. Here's a test build. I modified the BT handling a little to catch a lower level disconnect event. I also added the BT permissions, as it was throwing an error on my phone about not having permission to do a2dp stuff. In my testing, powering off the headset pauses the player properly. :D I haven't tested with anything other than my headset, so I need those of you that had issues with cars and such to help me test. Let me know what happens. Those were the only changes from my last build.

If you have logcat running, you should see this on disconnect: "NEW: Disconnected from Bluetooth A2DP, requesting pause."

Meh... Added the connect event, I noticed it wasn't firing. I don't know if it's needed as the media keys work, but it might be interesting to see...

Ttabbal-have you seen the latest version in the play store... its fantastic. Have you seen the source for thatone yet? It looks like a huge visual refresh as well as a few fixes namely Bluetooth.

Annnnnnnnnnnd my bad. Reposted in the correct thread.
Great update ArchRival!

There are a couple annoying bugs that I've found. If the music is paused, and I get any type of notification, subsonic starts playing after the notification has ended. I have to manually exit the app, or clear the playlist to stop this.

The other big issue I've noticed is that the app will hang the first time I open it after a while (think first launch after waking up in the morning). I have to wait until android asks if I want to force close the app, on next launch it works.

Lastly, I think the device is causing pretty constant wakelocks when playing music, but i'm not sure i'm interpreting BetterBatteryStats correctly. I've got AudioOut_2 , android.media.MediaPlayer and net.sourceforge.subsonic.androidapp.service.DownloadServiceImpl as Partial Wakelocks.

By the way, I'm running JB 4.2.1 on an HTC Rezound (IAmTheOneCalledNeo's Infectious Rezound ROM). I believe these issues are present in the stock App, so I'm thinking this is an issues with 4.2 compatibility? Are there any logs I can post for you, or anyway I can help out?
