Nothing showing up in left margin

Just upgraded to Madsonic build 3220 (4.8 beta 1), due to some issues I was now having due to extended power outages in my area after the storms, but the problem still exists, so I don't think it's Madsonic's (or Subsonic's) issue, just hoping someone may have run across this issue before and can provide a fix.

I have a Linux box running MadSonic, and my music folder is located on a Windows 7 box, with the sharing turned on and mounted on the Linux box as /media/music, through the /etc/fstab file, so it is mounted automatically when the Linux box boots up (and the Win7 box is already booted up.

I can access files in /media/music and subfolders through Terminal (command line) and the File browser (similar to Windows Explorer).

After some finagling, I was able to get Madsonic to scan the media library (entered as /media/music) and it shows around 61gb of music, which is pretty close to the 64gb of music I actually have.

But other than the # of albums, artists, etc..., I do not get anything listed in the left-hand frame, where it would actually list the artists, etc... Also, when I click any of the "Home" viewing options, nothing is listed, and I cannot "search" for anything.

I have restarted both the Windows and Linux machines, as well as restarting the Subsonic service, but nothing is working. I'm dreading having to reinstall from scratch.

Has anyone else experienced this, or know how to fix without reinstalling from scratch?

Access Control is new to the 4.8 beta 1 of madsonic. If you start adding new media-folders you have
only full Access to the first media-folder at start-up . This mean you should reset the Access-Control
for all groups/media-folders. You can find this function as admin in the cleanup Tools Page.

If you do so and refresh your page, you get full access to all files and you can see it in the left panel,
then you can change the security settings for your groups as desired.

I don't have that. Well, I have "Access", but there's nothing listed there to choose from.



Edit: Clicked "Reset Access Control" under the Groups heading, and now I have a list of Access check boxes. Clicked "Save" on that and now I can see my music!
