Feature Request - Gain Control

Postby Alpione » Tue Nov 13, 2012 7:38 pm

All - the headphone output on my phone is a little quiet and I have to turn my car stereo up close to max to get sufficient sound.

How about adding a Gain setting in the EQ? iSub has this for the iPhone and it works great. Just boosts the overall audio in the app by 'x" percent.

Thanks.

A couple of us expressed an interest in replaygain support which is not exactly the same thing. What you are asking for can be accomplished via various volume booster apps already in the play store so probably not necessary to add to dsub imo...

Try this Music Volume EQ, I used it in the past and works real good & its free.

I've noticed the same thing and it annoys me as well. I'll add it to the todo list but when/if it get's implemented will depend on how easy it is to implement using Android API's...though I can guarantee is will be easier then replay gain :D

Thanks for the suggestions.

I've tried the volume boosters, but they tend to only work for applications that don't have internal EQs. So they work with, say, Pandora, but not with DSub/Subsonic.

ReplayGain would be great. Just a simple gain slider would also work well.

I've also noticed that global EQ can block access to the apps EQ as well. For example on the One X their Beats EQ can block DSub/Subsonics from working as well. Either way I will put in a option for global volume if I can, and let people use whichever way they prefer.
