Having 2 issues

Hello everyone. I am a noob to these forums as well as using Subsonic. I think this is a great app, but lately I’ve had some varying success.

Problem Description: One problem I’m having is that certain tracks will play fine until it pauses for downloading and then the track starts over. This has happened on flac files, shns, mp3s, and ogg files. This only happens when I’m using Bluetooth through my car’s head unit, an Alpine CDE-138BT. It never seems to have this problem when just streaming to headphones. This is very frustrating especially for larger files, making the streaming basically useless since seeking is not functional until the track is fully downloaded.

The other problem I’m having is that sometimes certain tracks won’t play at all, the progress just stays at 0. I can push play or try and move the search bar through the track but it keeps going back to the beginning and makes no sound or progress in the track. This happens in standard and Bluetooth modes.

Troubleshooting steps: I have checked the files on the server, and they will play through my desktop computer’s browser on my subsonic page.
The files show up in the cache, but they won’t play in other players. I’ve tried erasing the files from the cache and re-downloading, but same result. The last time I tried this one of the files came through OK, but a different file only downloaded about 15 seconds of the track.
I had a friend with a different handset on Verizon try the same files, but he had no problem playing them.

Playback Application and Version: I am using a Samsung GS3 on the Sprint network, and have just upgraded to Andriod 4.1.1. I have tried version 3.3, version 3.6, and dSub, and I have the same problem on all platforms.

Server Version: jetty-6.1.x, java 1.7.0_09, Windows 8 (63.3 MB / 145.0 MB)

I really need it to quit starting the tracks over when it download-pauses, so let's narrow the scope of this thread to just that issue.

It has been doing it on all songs now, when before I upgraded to jellybean, this never happened. I really want to use this app, but this problem is making it very difficult to deal with.

I can't be the only one having this problem, or this is an obvious fix that I just can't figure out. I've seen mention of this a couple of other times, but each instance had no resolution.

Maybe this has something to do with EofException?

I am having the exact same issue. I am using Windows 7 64-bit to run the server and iSub app on my iPhone 4. It doesn't seem to matter what device I stream to from where I get the errors. It won't stream in most cases unless I have cached the song. then it really isn't streaming is it? This bug has got to be fixed. here is an example of the error I see.

Are these logs copied from the About view? I think the full log written to the file subsonic.log contains a full stacktrace, which could help identify the cause of the NullPointerException.
