Application stopped unexpectedly

Postby cyrus » Thu Dec 06, 2012 8:51 pm

Hi there

Shuffle in offline mode brings up "shuffle by" options; clicking "ok" produces the following error message: the application DSub (process github.daneren2005.dsub) has stopped unexpectedly

This is on HTC Desire; exception class name = java.lang.NoSuchMethodError

Have restarted, uninstalled and reinstalled, but error remains. All seems ok in online mode

Appeared to be working fine until this evening - any thoughts on how this can be resolved?

Thanks

Some quick checking and it appears one of the string function I use (isEmpty) is not supported until Android 2.3. I didn't even think to check that as I thought something so basic would have been there from the beggining. I will have a fix out for the next update in the next week or so. Sorry about this. I've been having a bad month as far as breaking stuff goes :?

Latest update screwed the pooch for me. Ogg>mp3 first track restarted about 10 sec in then got to the halfway mark and dies. TOTALLY messed. Once a track has finished downloading - it won't continue playing.

Latest release is unusable. Previous release only had one minor glitch - this is messed up on my GSIII playing mp3>ogg OR just mp3 playback.

App is now just crashing.

Can you provide a log for me of what is going on? I'm really starting to hate how every person's devices seem to react so differently to the same frekin program :?

Edit: More specifically, was it fine in 3.6 or did you mean that is was fine in 3.5.x branch? I released an update last night as well.

I'll have to set up log capture on the phone. I did the latest update last night that killed it. I think I was on 3.6 beta4 before that.

I share your pain as I still haven't found an app without bugs that works on Jelly Bean.

Now were 3.6 beta 4 and 3.6 that was released in the play store the same? If so, I wonder if it was the 3.6.1 update that is causing your issue?

Yes, that's right. I'll try to get logs, but I just got another report that Dsub updated again this am. I'm gonna breath first and then try to sort this out. LOL

Ah, so you were probably on 3.6 then. I did a update last night to 3.6.1 but it can often take a long time for everyone to see it. Try that and get back to me. I think I might have already fixed your problems as it seems to play back fine except for that first initial pause on my Nexus 7 with it.

Yes - playlist selection fixed, but sticks at end of each track (no fun in the car!) - this was v.3.6. Just downloaded 3.6.1 and playlist selection appears to work and the app doesn't freeze at the end of each track. Fingers crossed!
