[Feature Request] Multi-Disc separator

Postby dsync89 » Sun Dec 16, 2012 3:48 am

Hi hakko, is it possible to have a line separator for multi disc album such as follows? It would greatly increase the browsing experience for multi-disc album.

Hello,

I second this request !

This multi-disc matter is giving me headaches.
If I put the disc number into the Album name tag, MusicBrainz sets the whole album as missing.

I tried to set the track number like this "1/n ; 2/n" or "1-n ; 2-n", but it doesn't work...

Also, maybe I'm missing something, like a special tag for the disc number that could be undestood by Subsonic/MusicCabinet ?

MusicCabinet reads four different tags: track number, total track numbers, disc number, total disc numbers. So you can indicate that a track is number 5 out of 13 and disc 2 in a set of out 3, for example.

How you should enter this information depends on your tagging software and the kind of file you're using (MP3/OGG/FLAC/ALAC/APE etc).

I agree that some spacing in between the discs would look good.

Thank you hakko for your reply.

That would be nice to have the possibility to edit the disc number directly into Subsonic then :)
