BindException normally means that you have something else running on the port you're trying to use. For example that you're running a Tomcat server which listens on port 8080, and then you start a Jetty server which also tries to listen on port 8080. One port can only be used by a single program. So I'd check what port you're trying to assign and then check if another process is already using that port.
