Backup Subsonic

Postby WildWalker » Thu Nov 19, 2009 7:58 am

Hello All,

If I want to create a backup of Subsonic, in case I wish to move it to another server, or for recovery in event of a disk failure, exactly what do I need to backup?

I know I can reinstall Subsonic, but what I want to keep are all the user accounts, user statistics, downloaded cover art etc.

Alan.

Hi,

All application data is stored in c:/subsonic (or /var/subsonic on Linux), so that's what you wanna backup.

What do I need to backup (which files) in order to restore on a new installation?

i asked myself the same thing after reinstalling my server completely and thus going from 4.6 to 4.8. This is what i moved:

/var/subsonic/subsonic.properties
and
/var/subsonic/db

seems to do the trick.
