freenas setup

Postby rturner » Wed Feb 25, 2009 9:42 pm

I followed the instruction on the freenas setup for subsonic. I installed all the packages and java per the instruction guide. everything installed fine with no errors. i added in the startup script and ran the subsonic.sh and it told me to check the log. This is what the log says.

/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: Shared object "libthr.so.3" not found, required by "java"

any ideas on this??

so from what i have found the libthr.so.3 library doesnt work on 7. only 6. so in order to make this work you have to use an older version of freenas with bsd 6

I had the same issue when I used the wrong JRE.

This is the one I used:
Diablo Latte JRE 1.6.0-7 FreeBSD 6.x/i386 End-User 28M diablo-jre-freebsd6.i386.1.6.0.07.02.tbz

As of this week, I've been running SubSonic on my FreeNAS very successfully.

Glad that fixed the problem! You're right though, it's very addicting. It's great to be able to access my music from home while at work.
