index.jsp : frame to iframe ?

thanks again for this great software !

However I wonder why is there still a massive use of frames ?
=> I cannot animate automatically/programatically panes (frames) using jquery with frames. all I can do is integrate heavy CPU consuming functions inside index.jsp in order to do that.
I can resize them easily though, but with no animation.

I know It's no big work, but all the CSS inside WEB-INF/style have to be modified, and that's no big deal either, just time consuming.

My question is : will there be one day another version with div+iframe inside index.jsp ?
I not, may I participate to the project by doing it by myself on a svn fork that would be validated later by the dev team ?
