Guys is there a way to make the pull down option kbps to be limited to 200 vers options?

I think im looking for the same option.

I want a way to set the max video stream bitrate and also how to set the default to something other than a 1000. It would be in the web based player.

Anyone have any ideas?

I think our best bet is the stategy I discussed with you in my PM. From what I read it looks like you'd have to recompile the java code every time you wanted to change the default bit rate. Too painful for me. Then when a new version is released you'd probably have to do it again to retain it after the upgrade. Get too many mods like that and before long you lose track of everything you did on the previous version to get it where you wanted unless you keep copius documentation of what you've changed. Even then there's no guarantee that everything you changed in the previous version will be in the same place in the new version. A few cycles of that and it starts getting real painful.

Probably worseless to you, but if you are using the android client to get to the flash web view, in the most recent version of Dsub I added the option to set the default video bitrate which also works for the web flash view. But I'm guessing you were talking about the web view from the web interface.

Good point. The default on the desktop is 1000 and the Android app defaults to 500. You probably know better than I how that's determined in the app.

The link I posted indicates that the java code would need to be edited and recompiled to change the desktop default which is certainly over my paygrade - likewise for the app, I would assume.

It would be nice if you could adjust the default rate for the app and have seperate defaults for wifi and 3g. I find 500 usually a bit too high for 3g where I am and way too low for when I'm on my internal wifi. It would be perfect if i could set the app up to use 200 or 300 over 3g by default and 5000 for wifi without having to go through the details everytime I change from one connection mode to the other.

In DSub I did set a different default for wifi and mobile for exactly that reason. I mean really it's just a paramater you send in. There just doesn't seem to be an easy way to do it on the web interface due to it being in an embedded frame, whereas in the app I'm linking directly to it and can easily add the parameter.
