If you navigate to an artist through the library tab, then switch to the now playing tab and click an album from that, the breadcrumbs still show the artist selected through the library tab, but the album is the album you clicked on.

From the very most recent stable update (2.3.6), I've noticed the Chrome HTML5 audio freezing bug occurring much more frequently. Previously I would only see it occasionally when I would just start a new playlist or resume from pause. I just got the new update in the last day or two, but I've seen it much more frequently, even without pausing a track.

Also, I've gone to bed with a song paused the last few nights and woken up to the MiniSub tab gone. I can't be 100% sure I didn't just close it, but I rarely do that. I'm not sure if it's crashing, or if it closes when it updates, or some other reason, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

EDIT: I'm happy to post logs or whatever if you tell me what you need.

Not sure what to tell ya. I haven't had any issues in a while with that. It's nothing in my code or in the audio plugin, it's all with how Chrome handles HTML5 audio. If you weren't using the Chrome App you could switch to Flash.

Yeah, I'm not sure what's happening. It got a lot worse with this last update. Not much you can do about that I know, but can you reproduce the breadcrumb issue or the current track focus?

Yea I noticed the breadcrumb issue, just too lazy to fix it last release. Not sure what you are referring to with the "current track focus" issue? About the tab crashing, I haven't seen it, I leave Chrome open everyday at work, I hit unpause and it starts right where I left it.

I would suggest hosting MiniSub next to your Subsonic install, then using it without it being a Chrome App. If not you can always use the demo site: http://tsquillario.github.com/MiniSub (Make sure you select Enable JSONP)

I'm thinking about moving to a more "hosted" version so users can go to one URL and not have to worry about updating their local instance. All the music would still come from their local Subsonic instance however. I could persist settings and login info in a database rather than browser cookies. Makes it a little bit more permanent. I'm sure I could build additional features with access to a database.

Tab crashing very well might not be an issue, just me being a zombie and closing it. FWIW I didn't see it today, so lets just assume I'm a moron.

The current track focus issue seems to have gone away. All I meant by it was when you have a playlist that is longer than your screen resolution, when the track would advance, the playlist would scroll down too. This wasn't happening yesterday, but is happening again now.

I'll go ahead and host MiniSub locally. Thanks!

Ok I am confused, I tried this on the iPad. While using the default subsonic flash interface I can see and play media. But logging in to the minisub interface there are none of my folders showing and no media?

Am I missing something simple here?

Cheers

Hey TSQ, I noticed files that are being converted from flac->mp3 seem to stop before the end of the song.. Is this a miniSub issue or with subsonic it'self, do you know?

Hard to tell could be either really. If you're able to reproduce. Open the Developer Tools (Hit F12 in Chrome, for Firefox you have to install Firebug) and look at the Console. When the music stops are there any javascript errors?

If you go into the main Subsonic interface are there any errors logged in the About page?

DUDE. this stuff is epic  . if you and sindre teamed up and built a complete html5 web interface based off of minisub and made it the default i'd easily put down €25 for subsonic. it's so much better than the default... except lacking a lot of features like video playback and server settings ofcourse, but i don't expect that from a little spare time project :)

Not working with Chromium on Ubuntu. Firefox seems to work though.
The jplayer demo also doesnt work. I'll try fixing it.

Here's the current error:

jPlayer 2.2.0 : id='playdeck' : Error!

Media URL could not be loaded.

Check media URL is valid.

*Edit*
found this, which resolved my issue...
This is indeed a licensing issue : Chromium is not packaged with non-free softwares.
You should probably install specific codec packages for a good support of non-free encoded medias.

This is distro-dependent but on Ubuntu, you should install the chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-nonfree which provide, a least and respectively, mp3 and h.264 support.

Thanks for the update! I think this will be beneficial to others.

Is there any way to get paginated search results?

When you search for a song and there is more than 20 results you can't see result 21 and forward. Creating pagination should solve this.

Using 1/15/2013 - 2.4.1.

This may be obvious to most, but could you put a quick "How to install" in your info about this app? The original post, github repo, and chrome app all have the same description, but nothing says how to install it.

You can either copy the files next to your Subsonic install, use the Chrome App or just use the Beta site. I'll eventually setup a hosted 'production' version at Jamstash.com

Thanks! I didn't see the wiki before, and I didn't realize that installing the chrome app automatically used the latest version.
