Viewing .FLV musicvideos on my android.

Postby peffag » Fri Jan 18, 2013 5:39 am

I have version V4.6 and I using it for music and musicvideos.
I like the software and I donate 15 januari.
After that time I'm was not able to view my musicvideos in .FLV format.

Is there any changes around mid januari that causes this problem ?

Not to Subsonic. I've recently run into some problems with Flash on one of my sites.

These issues are most likely due to Java or Flash updates.

Ok - I think maybe I need to clarify a few things for you.

First, this is a user forum. I have no control of the demo site.

Second, most of the users here run ver 4.7 or one of the modded versions.

.flv files should run fine without any transcoding needed. So if they don't run for you, I can't tell you why with what little information you've provided.

I'm not aware of anything happening in January that would have any affect on why your installation can't play .flv files.

Video runs perfectly on my Subsonic sites.

I can only guess that you must have an installation issue, but as you run on Linux I can't be of much help as I run on Windows.

I do have an Android phone and it plays videos just fine. You must have Flash installed for them to run which can be an issue on Jelly Bean as it must be side loaded onto JB for it to work.

Hope I've covered the bases for you here. Let us know if you make progress.
