I cant connect to my server with my android phone

when ever i try to add the server to my phone it says a network error occurred.
i have ported it correctly. and it confirms that i have done so.
i have tried using th localhost and using the custom address.
i have tried the web player, external player/with playlist, and the jukebox modes.
im not sure what im doing wrong or if my router isnt good enough for it.
i have used emit before so my router should be fine.
someone please help me out.

Test your selected port with canyouseeme.org..does it 'pass'?

I am having the same problem. Everything seems to work in the webpage. I went to canyouseeme.org and entered the port. It didn't see it, but it also has an ip address that I don't recognize. Is this the external ip address set up by my cable company?

So, any help figuring out how to access my account through my phone? Do I need to open up the port for the external ip as well as the internal?
