Are the folders on the win 7 pc setup for shared?
E.g. Can you access them from the network without supplying extra password info?
If so then:-
Ok I am am going to assume that Win 8 is similar enough to vista/Win7 for this to work.
- You need to run services.msc (How on Win 8 no idea)
- Scroll down the list until you find the subsonic service
- Right click on it and select properties
- Change to the log-in tab
- Change the radio box from system a/c to "this a/c"
- Hit the browse button
- In the new window type your user name and select check names
- Hopefully your user name will then appear so select it
- Hit OK to get back to previous window then enter your password in the boxes below.
- Hit ok & close program
- Now reboot pc
SS now should have the privileges to access the network folders
A better method is to setup a special user a/c (non-admin) especially for SS
Use that information portal known as google for further info on how to that.
