i'm new to this forum, and to subsonic too (just discovered from a couple of days
), and hope this is the right place to post.I'm tring to use it on a Nslu2 with debian squeeze, but the poor memory on board (32mb) is a great limit. Subsonic start, but it needs very loooong time just to open the web gui, and to surf the pages too
I tried to rudece java memory to 32 mb instead the defaults 150, but without great increasement of speed.
I installed it on my ubuntu server too, to look if may be something to disable, such as cover preview for mp3/albums, and to reduce the memory usage, but there is nothing like that (i found only to reduce the cover preview at 5 in settings -> advanced).
I don't know if possible, how many works it may be, and how many memory and cpu we can save, but some mods like:
- limit cover to: 0=unlimited; -1=disable (if someone wants, may be added a tab "search/download cover" for a single item)
- home: a flag to enable/disable stats (random album, newest, ecc) (and the welcom message may be moved to fill the page)
may be helpfull?
what do you think about?
