podcasts: missing episode after deletion

Problem Description: I deleted a podcast episode, and it doesn't show up in the list anymore. all i wanted to do is redownload it as its file became corrupted after a power surge.
Troubleshooting Steps: deleted the episode using the podcast management interface; refreshed the episode list; removed the corrupted file; refreshed the episode list again (in that exact order). Missing episode still doesn't show up.
