Cover Art

Postby wg4ever » Tue Feb 26, 2013 12:23 am

I have discovered that DSub is saving the album cover art for each song it plays in my photo gallery on my Galaxy Note II. Why is this happening and how do I stop it??

They are there because the cover art is being downloaded to the folder where the songs are being saved. This is so that 3d party apps can display the album art as well. If you aren't using 3d party music players to play anything DSub downloads then go to settings and check Hide from other near the bottom. This should tell the gallery not to look there for anything. It will also tell 3d party music players not to look there as well though. Or alternatively you can use a gallery app that either only looks where people usually store stuff or one which gives you the option to hide folders (in which case you want to hide whichever folder you have set to download songs to).

Thanks! Here's another question about cover art. I have all of my cd's tagged with the correct album artwork. I also have several collections that have artwork thatis different for each song in the collection. When DSub plays these collections, it uses the artwork from the first song in the collection and assigns it to every single song in the collection. Is there a way to get it to use the assigned art in the idtags? Thanks!

No, DSub asks the server for the album artwork. If that artwork is stored in the id3 tags, the server needs to pull that information to send to the clients.
