4.7 playlist import issue

Postby watchinthewheels » Wed Mar 13, 2013 10:57 pm

Hi, I have recently imported a few playlists into subsonic (version 4.7) that were created in an older version.

The playlists seemed to import fine, and show up correctly in the left hand menu. However when I try to open one of them some of the links within it are broken. I can see every song in every playlist, but both the actual song itself, and the artist name are not links. The strange thing is that the album name IS a link and works as expected.

I'm really confused as to why this has happened. Nothing has changed as far as file paths go on my system between creating the old playlists and the new.

I have created some new playlists within subsonic to make sure it wasn't the actual playlist feature itself, these are fine. When I export those playlists and compare them to the ones I'm importing they are exactly the same.

I have tried restarting subsonic, re-importing the playlists etc but the same issue happens each time.

Does anyone have any ideas what on earth happened to the import.

Nothing :? 4.7 is working the same as 4.6
The track title becomes a "link" when you move it to the now playing window and the artist (or album artist :| ) doesn't and did not on 4.6.

Due to the confusion from too many genres of music, we have decided to put both country music and rap music into the genre of Crap music.

Ok, thats just strange. I tried all the playlists last night when I imported them and it wouldn't play anything at all (this is on the local server machine). Tried again today from a remote machine and everything is working. Very strange.

The problem is sorted anyway so please ignore the post, thanks :D
