Until 10 minutes ago I was still running version 4.6. I'd rolled back from 4.7 due to my wavpac files being listed alphabetically. Thanks to this thread I'm now running the latest Madsonic version.

Many thanks to MadEvil! If developement continues as it has I'll certainly be making a donation.

Can I use all the apps I have on Madsonic?
I'm thinking of going over to it as things just seem to be slowing down with subsonic, shame really as I was a massive fan of it :!:

The fact that all the bugs that are in 4.7 have not been fixed tells me that there is a lack of interest, I'm still running 4.6 due to the bugs....

One very disappointed fan.......

I'm running the latest MadSonic beta (4.8 build 3360) with no issues. It has a lot of the add-ins for Subsonic built in (Carousel, collapsible media folders, etc...) and adds a lot of new stuff like themes and such.

Not sure what platform you are running on, but there are Windows and Linux versions also.

I'm using 4.6, it works perfectly for me on a debian server with the following mainly all lossless tracks and vinyl rips.

15,405 artists
12,699 albums
109,475 songs
2756.76 GB (~ 42,824 hours)

I'm reluctant to change, can someone here give me advantages as to why I should.

Thank you all and Subsonic has reinvigorated me with music again, Thank you.

Being able to star tracks was enough to move me to 4.7. Not aware of anything in 4.8 I absolutely need though...

[edit]: Whoops, I see I already said the same thing earlier in this thread!

Being able to add songs to playlists without opening up the playlist and saving manual was enough for me to update to 4.7. Being able to parse genres in 4.8 is kind of cool too.
