[solved] Video not found or access denied

Operating system: Gentoo Linux
Sandalone subsonic install

Just added my folders, music works great, but videos give this error: "Video not found or access denied"
My first thought was that this is a gentoo use flag issue, so I re-installed ffmpeg with network support, closed my browser, reopened, same error.

Solved.
"ln -s /usr/bin/ffmpeg /var/subsonic/transcode"
boom.
the idea struck me when i saw nothing in the transcode folder. i just tried it and it worked. never saw anywhere that this was necessary... not sure how the hell new linux users are supposed to figure that out. good luck to them i guess

I have this exact problem, but I am being rather dumb when it comes to understanding the solution i'm afraid, where does this line go?

Because he listed file and destination, you can run that as sudo anywhere. Basically that is creating a symbolic link to that file.
