Hum that error message is really generic. Whats really strange is that it happens when typing in the pasword box and not when actually trying to connect (correct..?).
You could try re-installing the app and just for testing typing in the password first and then the other fields. And also if you have any antivirus running try to disable it temporarily (in my pc I have Microsoft Security essentials)

Could this have anything to do with me using music cabinet?

I added password first; and worked to the top of dialog box (entering server last) and it worked !....

Hello, I'm not sure. I dont use music cabinet.. Are you able to use other Subsonic client apps with your server? If you are, then it should be ok with Supersonic..

Are you using the latest version of music cabinet as when using SubWiji I noticed that the older versions had issues with the username and password being encoded, the latest version of music cabinet fixes this.

I am using the latest version (0.7.24c) and keep getting the error no matter which user I try to log in as. MiniSub, in addition to the android clients also works fine with the server.

Me again....

I've just installed on my Work Windows 8 Laptop - and get the same error.

I can't enter a server address - without the app locking up and crashing any ideas?

Hey Gido, thanks for posting the error. If I understood correctly, you have a top-level folder with sub-folders (artists) starting only with the letter "A". Is that right?

Yes I do have folders like :

etc.

Under A1 I have all artitst ( bands ) started with a A
Under B1 I have all artitst ( bands ) started with a B
Under C1 I have all artitst ( bands ) started with a C
Under E1 I have all artitst ( bands ) started with a E

etc.

I don't use HTTPS and I use another port number than default.
