Playlists in v4.6

Postby shadylane318 » Fri Apr 05, 2013 6:02 am

Hey guys,

I currently have subsonic v 4.6 and I'm wondering how to make my playlists from audiostation show up in subsonic? All the settings are correct but nothing is showing up on the subsonic side...help!

Lol well for starts what do you mean by "settings are correct". What did you setup that makes you think it would auto pull them?

Currently, the playlist path is /volume1/music/playlists ---- in subsonic

the location of my playlists in audiostation is ---- file station/music/playlists

Hope that helps clear things up

Well they need to be pulling the playlists from the same files, so it seems like /volume1/ is not the same as file station/, and they need to be. Also, try making a change to audiostation and make sure that the underlining playlist file is actually changed. A lot of players import from a playlist, but keep the actual playlist in a db after that.

Confirmed with synology that volume1/music/playlist is the correct file path. They said the playlist has to be created as a "shared playlist" which it is.

Just did another test and it's a no go

It doesn't matter what the correct path for Subsonic's playlists is, it matters if audiostation is actually writing to the same ones. Like I said, try making a change to a playlist in audiostation and make sure the playlist file itself actually changed. If it doesn't, figure out where the change is actually written to.
