Sharing a song link with another user?

Somebody has to have figured this out already. Is there a way to share a link with another user (say copy & paste into IM) that would let them add the song/album to their current playlist?

That's actually a great idea, but I've never had the need...

Word, I'm surprised that we're the few into this. I thought this was such a common scenario that people would already have found a way. I've submitted this as a feature request in the proper forum.

Good idea - I don't think it would be terribly difficult to implement...

It would be sweet to be able to just email a link for a guest user to be able to have a listen to a specific track.

Yeah, I think something that would just allow you copy a link to your clipboard would be best. It doesn't need to launch your email client since you can just paste the link into email or IM.

I'll get on this bandwagon. I use lala for this purpose, but would rather have the control of using my own server. There are times when it would be good to be able to send a link or some sort of code that would allow a person to hear a particular song or album, without opening up the whole collection to them.
