new addition to the version 2.4.1

Postby elhispano1 » Mon Jun 03, 2013 7:55 pm

Hi all,

This is the first time I write here. I want to congratulate the creator of this tool for the magnificent contribution, and I hope you accept my improvements. I've made modifications to the tool (Minisub) in orden to add new functionalities.

- New: All the users can share the song, using gmail. This possibility I believe that this utility is important, because we can easily email a link that will load the song MiniSub of our friends.
- New: The possibility to apply and remove favorite song in the playing song by pressing keyboard *
- New: can easily put a playlist public or private
- Fix: Our playlists are separated from our friends playlist in orden to do not mix

Hope you like.

Regards.

Many thanks! I have been working on a v3 release https://github.com/tsquillario/Jamstash/tree/gh-pages which changed the codebase quite a bit. I'll have a look through your code, thanks!

If you want to contribute features in the future I'd really appreciate it if you could submit them via a Github http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4384776/how-do-i-contribute-to-others-code-in-github. This allows me to either merge the changes directly or I can see the differences and merge them manually.

A. Great Job - elegant interface

B. Latest Firefox (23.0) Opera (16) don't play HTML5 audio it appears. Works fine in Chrome. Latest github version. 9-15-2013. But since an update is coming... perhaps this is superfluous.

C. One request - can you put an option somewhere - or perhaps explain how (I dug into jQuery and I think I'm going to have to make a global options{} object) to set up machine X.domain.com and Y.domain.com that (because of geolocation) use different servers w/o manually entering them (i.e. use different cookies). It seems that they both have to use domain.com cookies in the current architecture? (I think because jQuery needs an options record on each get/set cookie perhaps.)

It's hosted on Github. I an moving things onto JamStash.com with separate hosting. I'll setup a JamStash.com/beta and point the App to that. I'll post when it's complete.

I've been finishing up a rewrite, that feature needs added back in. You've been the first to mention it, so I don't think it's used all that much ;)

haha, i've readed it in the features and supposed it was working, but there is no problem in using an external app :)

Hi there tsquillario - love the app first of all!

Just a quick question. I notice that when loading the app in Chrome, it displays the URL 'http://jamstash.com/#/library' in the URL bar; this would tend to indicate to me that my server settings are being stored and/or forwarded through/on an external server under your control - is this the case? If not, can you explain how the app works in this regard please? Obviously the ideal scenario would be for the settings to be stored locally and passed directly to the server being connected to.

Looking forward to your reply! Thanks for your time
