Subsonic v4.7 on Ubuntu 12.04:

I've just added a new folder of mp3s (in the form 'artist/album/tracks.mp3') to my media folder (I only have the one folder, it contains about 750 artist folders). On trying to view it in the web interface I get an internal error in the 'main pane':

Seems to be something about file size in the messages? What is this? Songs aren't overly big or anything. Any help appreciated. Similar message obtained in a popup on the Android app too.

Firstly I'd bump up the memory delegated to java to 250MB. Then stop the server, restart and then do a manual scan via the Settings/Search/Update Index Now link. See how that goes...

That didn't do anything in and on its own but I then deleted my media folder then re-added it, did a scan and also a clean-up of the db (just to be safe but probably unnecessary...) and I'm back up and running. I suspect your memory increase will have helped - got quite a big library.
