Resampling FLAC on the fly

My Android phone (Galaxy Nexus) can play FLAC files just fine, so I turned off MP3 transcoding. But, it turns out the phone has a native sample rate of 48kHz. I'd rather not go through the crappy Speex resampler on the phone, so I'd like to have the Subsonic server resample to 48kHz on the fly (preferrably using sox). This would also save bandwidth for 96/24 and 192/24 files on my server. Is there an easy way to set this up? It'd be doing FLAC (44.1/16, 96/24, or 192/24) -> FLAC (48/16).
