playing same stream on multiple players

Postby ddd » Thu Jun 21, 2012 6:47 pm

Hi All,

Browsed your forums some but could not find a reference to this question: I would like to use subsonic to stream music to my living room stereo and kitchen computer, in such a way that both devices are playing the exact same music all the time. A setup similar to what Sonos provides.

My subsonic server is connected to the stereo and the kitchen computer can play media from the subsonic server, so that is all set up. I am just trying to figure out whether subsonic can duplicate a stream to multiple devices, but playlists and players did seem to be of no avail.

Note that In this actual case, it would be good enough to use a stream to the jukebox and send an actual tcp stream out to the kitchen. But ideally, I would like to play the same stream throughout the house, on various computers.

thanks for creating/ helping with this great software,
Dirk

That is not possible at this time but has been requested.

Due to the confusion from too many genres of music, we have decided to put both country music and rap music into the genre of Crap music.

Took me a while to find this out - the blurb on the player makes it seem possible. I too am desperate for a solution to this.

I am also interested in this feature. I noticed that this post is a couple years old. Any chance that this has been resolved since then? Thanks!
