I haven't heard of this particular solution before. I will have to look into it. Hopefully it is actually respected everywhere like that!

Thanks. I did some searching and it looks like AlbumArt.jpg named files are the ones treated specially by Android. A couple of places mentioned this should all me lower case, but more often than not, it's mentioned as "AlbumArt.jog".

Here are a couple of places it's talked about...

Yah it looks like it does work this way, at least for the Nexus 7. I don't know if it will work for the S3 since they seem to like screwing with the basic behavior, but we can hope. It will be in the next release. Thank you for finding this info for me!

Classical music usually has very long titles and currently there is no way to view the entire title.

Thanks

Probably, how do you think it should work to see the full title?

Possibly have the text move from the right to the left. This would cause the beginning of the title to disappear on the left as the rest of the title would start to appear from the right. Maybe only scroll once or twice so it is not too annoying.

Bump. Long album titles and long song titles are problems both when choosing music and in now playing/current playlist screens. If they could autoscroll, that would be great.

Ah yes I will see if I can get this in this next release. I am trying to hit all of these little things people have been asking for forever in this one (ie: no big things).

I'm getting a weird error that reads:

Comparison method violates its general contract!

So far, this only occurs when I'm trying to access the folder of one specific podcast.

Sent you a PM. But instead of showing as sent, it's showing up in the outbox. Let me know if you don't get it.

Thanks for adding the "albumart.jpg" change to the latest version. It works great. However, I just noticed a new bug in the latest release. I'm also getting the "Comparison method violates its general contract!" error message when trying to view one particular folder. This bug may have been in the previous release since I haven't tried to access it in a while. If it matters, this folder is where I keep my singles and has 414 mp3 files in it. BTW, I saw elsewhere that this error may be caused by a Java versioning error. So I uninstalled all previous versions of Java and installed the latest Java and Subsonic 4.8. Still get the error.

When I click "Permanent Cache", is there any place I can see the progress of the download? In the old subsonic app, pinned music would just be added to the current playlist and you can see the download progress there. In DSub, when I permanent cache music, it doesn't show up in the playlist. It doesn't show up in the "downloading" playlist either (in the 3 dot menu). Eventually if I look at the music in my library later it will show green stars, which tells me that it actually successfully cached.

I just tried it out and it shows up in the Downloading list just fine for me...have you tried just doing it to one song then going over in there and looking?

There might be an inconsistent problem with it. I will have to mess with it a bit and see if I can get stuff to not show up sometimes. Or like so much with Android, maybe it just didn't feel like behaving at that exact moment :D

When you go to the Library and then select an artist. The album art is not shown anymore since the last update. Is this correct? Or is there something wrong in the update?
