Totally Lost 2 questions.

I have installed subsonic version 4.8 on my mac. running OS 10.8.4 I cannot get back to my admin privileges. I do not know my admin name and password admin admin no longer works. I am only at the user level. I was never able to locate my external drive during the initial setup to find the music. How do you activate the media search function? Is the only way to get to the media is to type the path. As far as I know attached to my mac is a usb drive and my music is located in the following path. Am I missing something? Path /Volumes/Pictures and Music/My Music Collection it does not work. What should I do?
