I have noted this on a few of my 'older' MP3s: when I play them, they only play the first 20 - 40 seconds of the actual file. Then it just stops. When I play the files outside of Subsonic, with VLC or another programme, they play fine and the whole file.
I have made a file available for your references: http://d3ng4r.dyndns.org/jam-trav_wo_mov-virt_ins.mp3
(please don't port-sniff me)
I'm at a loss why Sobsonic misbehaves. Here are some details:
License: Subsonic Premium
Version: 4.8 (build 3434) – 17 April 2013
Server: jetty-6.1.x, java 1.7.0_21, Linux (124.2 MB / 237.7 MB)
Running on a Linux Server (obviously), having some 1 GB of RAM, some AMD Athlon type processor
here is some ffmep output:
- Code: Select all
ffmpeg -i 01\)\ Virtual\ Insanity.mp3
ffmpeg version 0.8.6-4:0.8.6-0ubuntu0.12.04.1, Copyright (c) 2000-2013 the Libav developers
built on Apr 2 2013 17:02:36 with gcc 4.6.3
