I'm not sure if this report got picked up? I have the same issue on IE8, Google Chrome and Firefox 3.5b4..
Currently without Subsonic due to hardware failure :(

Sorry, that feature was sacrificied. You see, I changed the HTML to comply to the HTML 4.01 doctype. A side effect of this was that the frame borders got *really* ugly, so I decided to remove them.

I think the result is a lot cleaner visually, but I can understand that some will miss the option to resize it manually.

You can always change the frame proportions by modifying index.jsp, by the way.

I also have noticed that the feature is gone. I will surely miss the possibility to resize the frames.

Have you a screenshot of how bad it looked with borders?

Would it be possible to implement a configurable setting for the width of the left bar and the height of the bottom bar in the advanced settings tab? This could be seen as a work-around for the dropped feature.

Hi.

To be honest, I'm not too keen on making it a configurable setting. Too many settings for everything make the application appear feature-bloated and more difficult to use. Secondly, it takes time to implement - time I'd rather spend on other features

I forgot to mention it, but the frame borders can of course be added again by modifying the index.jsp.

Can you explain a little more? I'd like to add the borders back.

thanks,

I couldn't quite see what the impact was of this change until I realized that you probably are using IE?
I tested re-implementing the borders in IE, and yes, they truly are ugly there. However, having borders in Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or even Opera doesn't actually make too much of a difference. There's a tiny black line in the frames, that's all. Not the big clumsy borderline as in IE. I agree that you shouldn't make everything customizable through settings, so I guess I'll have to live with changing this one after every upgrade myself :)

Dunno why, but I'm able to resize the frames by just dragging it where the border should've been.

Not sure if anyone else has had this problem; I've been searching for a few days with no luck. In 3.7 beta 1, subsonic crashes for seemingly no reason; I just noticed that a song I have that is only 128 kbps does not crash subsonic, however songs that are 192 kbps cause subsonic to crash. If I simply stream the music to my browsers flash player, it works great, but the jukebox feature for some reason wants to crash. My log file shows nothing unusual, the last messages are simply about playing the song; nothing abnormal. Anyone else have this problem? If its simply something with the beta thats fine, it just kills me that I can't fix the problem, or at least know what the cause is.

If you guys aren't sure I'll post this in the help section. The only reason I didn't post there first is because this is a beta, and problems should be expected.

EDIT: Found an error log file in my standalone directory; here is a portion of it:

Try reloading the top frame with the search field, or clear the browser cache if that doesn't work.
