HOWTO: Change JWPlayer to the HTML5 version

This nuked my playback entirely. If anyone is still active on this thread, I could use some help if you have time. Here's the error that was kicked back:

javax.servlet.jsp.el.ELException: Unable to find a value for "id" in object of class "net.sourceforge.subsonic.domain.MusicFile" using operator "."

After this error showed when I tried to open a video file that had just worked an hour ago, I undid everything that was changed in the OP. Deleted the three files, and renamed the videoPlayer.jsp file from .BACKUP to .jsp, and restored the transcoding settings. I still get the same error, even though everything is identical to the previous configuration, and even though I restarted Subsonic daemon.

Any help? I can post the Stack Trace if it will help. Thanks in advance!

I would love to try this, but, after so many variations, I am really gunshy about this.

I am running the latest version of DSub, MX Player, & SS 4.8, on a Epic 4G Touch & a Windows 7 Ultimate laptop, respectively. Can someone in the know scrub the setup instructions to make sure that this HTML5 conversion works in SS 4.8?

This would mean the world to me. Am willing to donate a few bucks to the contributor that successfully pulls it off.

I hid this option from all players but DSub, seems to work great! this is for windows only.

It is not working. I have pretty much had it with flash, and the old ways of trying to get this to work. HTML5 conversion seems to be the way to go.

ok like Jim before me said the amount of variations is confusing...
if someone could put a new post with all the files needed or links to such...
"it took me half hour to find jwplayer 6 to download"
got 6.5 and don't know if it will work by just changing the 6.1 to 6.5 in the files...
don't know what transcoding line to use as I see a bunch on this thread.
I see a lot of talk about google chrome and nothing about internet explorer it self, do any of these html5 fix's work for it?


tried it a few times and after fixing the jwplayer to jw-player thing and also fixing the line that includes top.jsp "had to lose the ../"
got everything up till

is this because of IE and not chrome? do I need to find an mp4 transcode string?
im lost...
my biggest issue is that with a 6 core 3200Mghz with 16 gig mem I still use a lot of processor when I code for avi or mkv.
iv converted a lot of my collection to mp4 for stupid apple tv and don't have it anymore and don't know where to go from here...
and a final note what about Opera web browser... anything work on that... that the only way my tv see internet...waaa

Works fine.
But is there a way to use mp4 (h264) instead of webm? mp4 will be playable on all devices and will use less of CPU power at transcoding.
I tried serveral ffmpeg strings but nothing is working.
